Despite the brutal icy conditions of the night, blowing snow and a fast tailwind headed for Texas, the Madison County Inaugural Ball rocked full tilt. The weather cooperated keeping dozens of Asheville folks at bay which was copasetic, because the house was pretty durn packed. By the time this photo was taken, the crowd was starting to thin. The weather kept some people from lingering but other than a 25' river crest, there wasn't much that was going to keep folks from putting in an appearance. Thanks to everyone who made the ball such a roaring success particularly Esther, Ed, Pat, Dave and Rob!
