Lapland Bookshop and Arts

Finally made it into Lapland Bookshop & Arts. Wow! Stacey and Mick have done a fantastic job with the building. What a beautiful space - the reading room by the train tracks and the river will inspire your mountain dreams. My photographs don't do it any righteous justice. This is Marshall's perfect space to mellow down easy.

Lapland has wireless internet service and I'll be spending some quality time there. This is a place that speaks to you from the heart of Marshall's beautiful valley. Did I mention the incredible view across the railroad tracks and French Broad River looking out towards Blannahasset Island? Awesome!

Vicki Lane has written her typical great post about the Bookshop on her blog. Mick & Stacey are up and running with a nice blog of their own with some great pictures of the Mermaid Parade and the Bookshop. The parade kicked off from the shop on June the 12th's French Broad Friday. Do yourself a favor and stop in and visit this special place.

Lapland Bookshop will be closed from June 16th through 29 and will reopen Tuesday June 30th.
