
Tuesday, February 16th in downtown Marshall !!!
Parade starts at 6pm from the Island, over the bridge, down Back Street to Bridge Street, and all the way down Main Street. Will include several floats, music, and the traditional Mardi Gras beads. Madison High School's "The Situation" band will also be playing on the courthouse lawn starting at 6pm.
There will be a costume contest at Good Stuff at 6:45pm followed by local musician Steve Davidowski and his band.
Costume contests will be set up with an adult category (best costume, King and Queen) and child category (best costume, Prince and Princess).
An award will also be given to the organization with the best float. If you are interested in having a float entered in the parade, please contact Connie at 649.3444 or respond to this email. Deadline for entering a float will be Monday, Feb 15th at noon.
There is also talk of several New Orleans' style food including gumbo, crawfish, a shrimp boil and King Cake (more info on that later).
The Madison County Arts Council will feature the "Art of Coffin's" exhibit by Luca Dipierro from 5 to 8pm (exhibit continues thru the end of February).
So plan to come to downtown Marshall for the Second Annual Marshall Gras event!!
