This is a great article in the Chicago Tribune, which contrasts Las Vegas and Marshall but on the title point, I beg to differ. I know at least 2 citizens of Greater Marshall who have heated toilet seats. The seat's are kept by a crackling wood stove in the winter and when it's privy time, they carry the seat outside to do their business. Folks in Madison County have had heated toilet seats for at least as long as there have been outhouses. The seats, while excess in Las Vegas, are survival out the outskirts of Greater Marshall.
